Settings are grouped into Account, Data, and Billing. Personal preferences apply to your own profile and display, while membership, subscription, and account-closure actions can affect everyone who shares access.
Account preferences
Open Settings and use the Account section to manage:
- Profile for your name, email, and profile image;
- Regional & format for locale, date, number, and week preferences;
- Theme for appearance;
- Security for password and authentication controls;
- Notifications and Email Preferences;
- Privacy;
- Members & access; and
- Close Account.
Regional formatting is separate from portfolio currency. Formatting controls how values and dates appear, while the selected portfolio’s currency controls totals, charts, and converted asset or debt values.
Data settings
Use Settings → Data → Connections to manage connected providers and consent. Use Settings → Data → Import & export for supported data transfer tools.
Disconnecting a provider stops future updates. Read the confirmation carefully to understand what happens to accounts and previously imported information.
Billing
Open Settings → Billing → Subscription to review the current plan, trial or subscription state, and available management actions. Some billing controls are only available to the account owner.
Before changing a subscription:
- check the effective date and price shown by Plutus;
- understand which features or limits may change; and
- keep the confirmation or billing-provider receipt.
Plan contents can change. Treat the information shown on the current Subscription page as authoritative.
Privacy and security
Use a unique password and protect access to your email account. Never send passwords, recovery codes, bank credentials, or full financial exports to support.
Review these areas regularly:
- active authentication and recovery methods;
- Members & access and each person’s role;
- connected banks and their consent state;
- notification settings for security or connection events; and
- stored notes that may contain unnecessary sensitive information.
When removing an account, connection, or member, read the confirmation carefully. Destructive actions may affect shared data and cannot always be undone.
Close your account
Settings → Account → Close Account permanently removes your financial accounts, transactions, portfolios, membership, and personal account. Only the owner can complete this action.
Before closing the account, the owner must remove every additional member and cancel every pending invitation. Plutus blocks closure while either remains.
Closing the account also attempts to cancel the subscription and revoke provider access. The action cannot be undone. Export anything you need and read the final confirmation before entering CLOSE.
Get help safely
When contacting support@plutusfinance.app, include:

- the approximate time;
- the visible error message; and

Do not include secrets or full account identifiers.
Common problems
- Billing controls may only be visible to the account owner.
- Personal display preferences do not change another member’s settings.
- If you cannot close the account, remove additional members and cancel pending invitations first.
- If you suspect unauthorised access, secure your email and contact support promptly.
